Hi All,

This painting “White Hydrangeas from Garden” is on its’ way to the Acton Public Library in Old Saybrook, Connecticut being driven by Dan, who is the Featured Artist for the Month of July 2014. Dan will be doing an oil painting demo on Saturday, July 12th from 11am to 12 (noon).

“White Hydrangeas from Garden” does come from our beautiful hydrangea tree, that we have babied for many years. It is so spectacular when it is in bloom, and full of bees, so one should not sit near it during the day.

Thought you might like the following poem by Carl Sandburg….

Dragoons, I tell you the white hydrangeas
turn rust and go soon.
Already mid September a line of brown runs
over them.
One sunset after another tracks the faces, the
Waiting, they look over the fence for what
way they go.

Thought for the day:

Hope you can check out Dan’s art exhibit at the library….shaping up to be a good one!
