An oil painting by Daniel S. Dahlstrom–Chester, Connecticut Artist
“The Bell Collector’s Farm” became one of Dan’s paintings because of the nature of the subject matter and the light-late afternoon light. He loved the shape of the bell and the composition of the trees, barns, and stone wall-something a little different. He spent many happy hours with the owner of the farm-an artist in her own right.
The painting is on display and for sale at Design Essence, 100 Main St, Old Saybrook, CT. And the owner/designer of Design Essence, Jan Blonder, has this decorating tip “So many pieces can work well with this bucolic scene; we like these striped dining chairs sporting strong green as well as other bold colors. Keep with nature with your other accents (natural materials and organic themed fabric prints, for example) and you can’t go wrong.”
If you would like to see the dining room chairs, they also are on display and for sale at Design Essence, and I know that Jan would love to help you with your design needs and answer any of your questions.
Stop in and say hello, and check out the shop-“Where the Unique is Everyday.”
Wishing you a good one…
